These terms apply to the ShortRex Discord bot, its web dashboard, and its short links (together, "the Service"). The Service is operated by Arpan S ("we", "us"). By adding ShortRex to a server, using its commands, signing in to the dashboard, or creating a short link, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
ShortRex is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, or Razorpay.
1. Who can use ShortRex
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country and follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If you add ShortRex to a server, you confirm that you are allowed to do so on that server's behalf.
2. The Service
ShortRex shortens URLs, shows visit statistics for links you create, and plays music in Discord voice channels. We may add, change, or remove features, or stop the Service, at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use ShortRex to:
- Link to malware, phishing, scams, or any content that is illegal where you or the viewer are located.
- Share content that sexually exploits minors, promotes violence, or harasses others.
- Send spam, or hide where a link goes in order to mislead people.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, or anyone else's rights.
- Overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, send automated requests, bypass tier limits, or try to access other users' data.
4. Short links
- You are responsible for every link you create and for where it leads.
- We may disable or delete any link, without notice, if it breaks these terms or is reported for abuse.
- Custom slugs are given out first come, first served. We may reclaim a slug that impersonates someone, misleads people, or infringes a trademark.
- Links may stop working if the Service ends. Don't rely on ShortRex as the only record of an important URL.
5. Music
ShortRex plays audio from third-party platforms and does not host any music itself. Whether a track is available depends on those platforms. You are responsible for following their terms when you request content.
6. Paid tiers
Paid tiers may not be available yet. When they are, these rules apply:
- Prices are shown in Indian rupees (INR) at checkout, and payments are processed by Razorpay.
- A Donor payment is a one-time payment that permanently unlocks custom slugs.
- A Subscriber plan renews every month until you cancel it from the billing page. Subscriber features end once the cancellation is processed. If you are also a Donor, you keep Donor features.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
- Custom slugs you have already created keep working if your tier changes.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or block any user or server that breaks these terms, or whose use puts the Service or other people at risk. You can stop using ShortRex at any time by removing it from your server or logging out of the dashboard. To have your data deleted, follow the steps in the Privacy Policy.
8. Ownership
We own the ShortRex name, its software, and the dashboard. You keep ownership of the content you submit, and you give us permission to store and serve it only as needed to run the Service.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the content of websites that short links point to.
10. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or ₹1,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover any claims, losses, or costs we face because of content you submit or because you broke these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
